The St. Mary Parish Library is in partnership with American Veteran Advocacy. Become educated on learning to file for benefits, PTSD and other diseases associated with Agent Orange, as well as many other topics of interest to Veterans.

Join our new crafting club. Learn new and interesting hobbies, crafts, art and more! We will meet once a month on a Thursday for a fun and sharing social while learning new techniques.

“Black Migrations”

Thursday, February 28 at 6:00 P.M.

The St. Mary Parish Library, Patterson Branch will celebrate Black History Month with its annual Black History program. Following the Association for the Study of African American Life & History (ASALH), the theme for 2019 is “Black Migrations”, focusing especially on the twentieth century through today.  Plans for the program will consist of a panel of guest speakers and an open dialog on this subject and much more including mass incarceration, civil rights and protest activism.
